Lawrence Coolidge

Mr. Coolidge is a Trustee of Loring, Wolcott & Coolidge, a professional family office that offers a wide range of highly personalized fiduciary services. Mr. Coolidge joined Loring, Wolcott & Coolidge in 1962. He is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society and the Boston Economic Club. Mr. Coolidge serves on the board of the Seven Islands Land Company, and is an Honorary Trustee of the Boston Athenaeum and the Peabody Essex Museum. Mr. Coolidge is the managing trustee of the George H. and Jane A. Mifflin Memorial Fund, which provided the start-up funding for Massachusetts Public School Performance. Mr. Coolidge and his wife Nancy Myers Coolidge have been very active in various education reform efforts during the past decade. Mr. Coolidge is a graduate of Harvard College and holds a MBA from Harvard Business School.

Marci Cornell-Feist

Marci Cornell-Feist is the principal of Meetinghouse Solutions, a consulting firm specializing in charter school creation and sustainability with a particular emphasis on governance, fundraising, and philanthropic-advising to donors actively supporting the charter school movement. For the past seven years, Marci's work has been exclusively focused on charter school creation and sustainability. She has worked extensively with more than 80 charter schools nationwide, including 48 of the 59 charter schools in Massachusetts, many on a very intensive, ongoing basis. In addition to individual charter schools in Massachusetts, Marci consults to Building Excellent Schools, the District of Columbia Public Charter School Board, the National KIPP Foundation, and individual charter schools in CO, CA, DC, IL, IN, NJ, and NY. Marci is a graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Education and Bowdoin College. She is the author of the Charter School Trustees Handbook, used in charter schools nationwide.

Jonathan Korb

Mr. Korb presently serves as the general counsel at Loring, Wolcott and Coolidge and has been employed by the firm for the past 17 years working in a variety of tax and administrative capacities. Mr. Korb has an undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Miami, a law degree from Suffolk Law School and an LLM in taxation from Boston University.

Jean Krasnow

Ms. Krasnow is currently the Associate Director of Academic Programs for the School of Education at Northeastern University where her work has focused on the development of a teacher preparation program for individuals interested in working in urban schools as well as community service programs for all students at the University. Prior to her work at Northeastern, Ms. Krasnow served in a number of administrative capacities focused on increasing educational opportunities for urban youth, including at the Massachusetts Charter School Resource Center, the Graduate School at Wheelock College, and the Institute for Responsive Education. Ms. Krasnow has also taught history at public high schools in Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts, has served as a faculty member at Wheelock College, and is currently serving on the board of Squashbusters. She is a graduate of Cornell University, holds an MBA from Simmons College, and EdD from Boston University.

Sheila Lirio Marcelo

Sheila Lirio Marcelo is a working mom and the Founder and CEO of Care.com. After realizing that many moms like her struggle to find quality care providers for their loved ones, Ms. Marcelo founded Care.com to help families find babysitters, nannies, pet sitters, caregivers, housekeepers and tutors. She is a leading expert on care planning advice, having appeared on NBC’s “Today Show” and “ABC News Now.”  Ms. Marcelo graduated from Mount Holyoke College and earned a dual degree from Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School.

Jordan Meranus

Jordan Meranus, is a Partner at NewSchools Venture Fund East Coast office where he focuses on investment strategy and management assistance to portfolio ventures, particularly within the area of charter schools. Prior to joining NewSchools, Mr. Meranus was a Managing Director at Imagitas, a company which partners with government agencies to help the public sector better serve citizens is also a co-founder of Jumpstart, a nationwide nonprofit organization providing intensive early literacy services to low-income children. Mr. Meranus received his bachelor's degree in history from Duke University and earned a master's degree in both Education and Public Administration from Harvard.

William Polk

Mr. Polk recently retired from the Groton School where he served as the Headmaster and taught religion from 1978-2003. Prior to the Groton School, Mr. Polk worked at the Lawrenceville School in a variety of positions including the Chair of the Department of Religion, the Assistant Dean of Students and the Director of Social Service Programs. Mr. Polk has served as a trustee for a large number of nonprofit organizations and is presently on the board of the Fenn School, the Epiphany School, the Cambridge Center for Adult Education and the Cambridge Foundation. Mr. Polk holds a BA from Trinity College and a MDiv from Union Theological Seminary.

Normand Smith

Mr. Smith is a Partner at Burns & Levinson LLP and was formerly a Partner at the firm Perkins Smith & Cohen LLP. In his law practice, Mr. Smith has served as counsel to individual entrepreneurs and scientists in the areas of personal tax planning and the formation and management of businesses, primarily in the high tech and biotech areas. He also served as general counsel to businesses, primarily in the high tech and biotech areas and to not-for-profit institutions workings in the United States and internationally. Additionally, Mr. Smith has served as counsel to individuals accused of scientific misconduct, including representation before university tribunals, Health and Human Services, the National Institute of Health and the United States Congress.
