The Achievement Network uses a number of administrative and technological best practices to maintain student privacy.
256 Bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Encryption
We use 256 bit Secure Socket Layer encryption on any webpage that displays student data.
All users passwords are stored encrypted. Even database administrators cannot know users passwords.
The application and database(s) are firewalled. Using Amazon EC2 functionality includes web service interfaces to configure firewall settings that control network access to and between groups of instances.
Collection of Personal Information
We do not store any student or teacher social security numbers.
