ANet is a nonprofit dedicated to the premise that every child in America deserves an excellent education and the opportunities it provides. We pursue our vision of educational equality in America by helping schools boost student learning with great teaching that is grounded in standards, informed by data, and built on the successful practices of educators around the country.

Teachers

What teachers need is fewer distractions and more practical support to help them with what they care most about—meeting the needs of all their students.

Helping you reach every student

Teachers have no shortage of people giving them advice or making demands on their time. What they need is fewer distractions and more practical support to help them with what they care most about—meeting the needs of all their students.

ANet provides you with practical guidance, user-friendly data tools, and resources screened for quality and Common Core alignment.

What to expect

Every six to eight weeks, our partner schools give their students in grades 2–8 ANet’s brief interim assessments to test recently taught material in English language arts (ELA) and math. Unlike year-end tests, these assessments produce data to inform ongoing instruction—not to evaluate teachers or students.

The Achievement Network has been great for me as a teacher. It has given me better understanding of the standards, and I love that we have a network of people that we can go to when we need help.

Our simple but powerful online data tools allow you to identify areas that need to be retaught or reinforced, which students need extra support, and what confusions they may have. We then provide access to curated resources, including planning guides and complete lesson plans, targeting relevant concepts and skills.

Our coaches visit our partner schools approximately 20 times a year to help implement training and routines that support effective use of data and a strong instructional cycle.

The wisdom of the network

Don't you find the most valuable professional development to be when you learn from other teachers? Educators in ANet partner schools have access to our network of thousands of educators nationwide, so you can learn from peers and explore best practices from a wide variety of schools. We provide professional development to distill and share lessons learned in our 700+ schools so you don't have to reinvent the wheel.
